Who We Are
What is SCOPURS?
The population of a city grows through birth as well as migration. The economy has not been able to provide employment and an income for the vast majority of rural migrants, including the urban poor. Significantly, a large number of urban poor work in the informal sector as they have less skill, less education and less capital. The World Bank classifies Malaysia as highly urbanized, with more than 75 percent of the country living in urban areas. After all, 24.1 million Malaysians live in urban areas. However, among the dwellers of plenty live the many urban poor.
Our NGO’s efforts are purely focused on helping the poor and urban cities, on continuing living in a challenging economic environment in the capital, this business is in line with the government’s vision to help low-income people, called the B40. We also have the vision to help poor students, especially those with disabilities, to achieve their ideas for education and to create job opportunities within the industry that we have identified, companies and enterprises that will be involved in placing the poor or disabled students in their company.
